11th Annual Conference
Registration is now open for the 11th Annual Young Leaders in Agriculture Conference (YLAC), a free leadership development conference for young adults ages 18-22 hosted by the Minnesota Pork Board and Compeer Financial.
The conference will take place June 15-17 at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato and will bring together young leaders from across Minnesota for three days of personal growth, leadership development, networking, and career exploration. Registration is open through Friday, June 5.
What to Expect
This year’s conference features a lineup of speakers and experiences designed to challenge participants to grow both personally and professionally. Attendees will hear from Rachel Eslick of Mae We All Growth and Development on building confidence and leading with intention, leadership coach Vanessa McNeal on the power of relationships and influence, and motivational speaker Hunter Pinke on choosing joy and resilience in the face of adversity. Participants will also engage in discussions on leadership, advocacy, critical thinking, communication, career skills, and self-awareness.
“Developing the next generation of agricultural leaders is one of the most important investments we can make as an industry. The Young Leaders in Agriculture Conference provides opportunities for attendees to strengthen leadership and communication skills, develop relationships, think critically, and explore meaningful pathways within agriculture,” said Jill Resler, chief executive officer of Minnesota Pork.
In addition to educational sessions, attendees will participate in a service project benefiting Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest, connect with agricultural professionals from across the state, enjoy networking opportunities, and take part in social activities including bowling, golf, and laser tag at the Wow Zone. The conference will conclude with an interactive pork fabrication workshop led by industry experts Neal Hull and Lindsey Fulton.
