Scott Walter joined Activate to step outside his comfort zone, build new connections and sharpen his ability to advocate for pig farming. With a passion for mentoring young people and helping others succeed, Scott is investing in skills that can make a lasting impact both on the farm and beyond.

Minnesota Pork’s inaugural Activate class participated in Session 4 from March 31-April 1. The session was centered on the pork value chain and an in-depth look at the journey Minnesota pigs take from farm to fork. Read the full summary from participant Sydney Rosenstengel.

As one of eleven participants in the Activate: Minnesota Pork Leadership Cohort, Olivia Wolle is driven by a deep commitment to the future of pig farming, starting with her own family. With her two boys at the center of her “why,” she’s committed to strengthening the future of pig farming for the next generation. From her roots in 4-H and FFA to her work on her family’s farm, Olivia is focused on growing as a leader and helping share the story behind what pig farmers do every day.

As one of eleven participants in the Activate: Minnesota Pork Leadership Cohort, Logan Tesch is building on a lifelong connection to pig farming. From helping on his family’s farm to managing a feed mill, his experience has shaped a strong foundation. Now, through Activate, he’s focused on growing as a leader and embracing the advancements shaping the future of pig farming.

A trip to the Minnesota State Capitol brought the Activate class new experiences and learning opportunities.
