Volunteer at the Oink and Pork Promotion Booths at the 2025 Minnesota State Fair!

The Minnesota Pork Board (MPB) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help staff the Oink and Pork Promotion Booths at the 2025 Minnesota State Fair. We’re looking for individuals with a passion for agriculture, an interest in the pork community, and a desire to engage with the public in a fun and educational setting. Volunteers should enjoy working with people, be friendly and reliable, and have strong communication skills. Familiarity with pigs, pork, or farming is a bonus, but not required!

What are the Oink & Promotion Booths?
The Oink and Promotion Booths are interactive, educational experiences hosted by the Minnesota Pork Board at the Minnesota State Fair.

• The Oink Booth, located in the Robert A. Christensen Pavilion (Swine Barn), focuses on educating fairgoers about animal care, farming and environment.

• The Promotion Booth, located in the Dairy Building, highlights pork as a nutritious, flavorful product and shares consumer-focused information.

Both booths feature engaging displays, hands-on activities, and educational materials designed to connect fairgoers with Minnesota pig farmers and the pork they raise. Volunteers play a key role in welcoming visitors, answering questions, and sharing accurate, easy-to-understand information about pigs and pork.

Volunteer Shift Times:
Oink Booth (Robert A. Christensen Pavilion):

• 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Promotion Booth (Dairy Building):

• 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Perks of Volunteering:
All volunteers receive free admission to the fair for the day of their shift and a Minnesota Pork t-shirt—both amazing ways to show your pork pride while enjoying a day at the fair!
