The 2026 Growing Ag Scholarship is offered by the Minnesota Pork Board for students interested in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture business, or related fields.

Growing Ag Application Instructions
Submit all materials as one document (PDF) in the following order:

Highlight agricultural experiences, internships, leadership roles, and community involvement. - Personal Statement (500 words or less)
Tell us about your journey in agriculture. What sparked your interest in animal science or ag business, and how do you see yourself contributing to the pork industry in the future? Be sure to include any relevant experiences such as agricultural coursework, clubs, internships, or study abroad opportunities. - Industry Challenge Response: Practical Solutions (300-500 words)

You’re advising a small family pig farm looking to expand. What are three key business strategies they should consider for successful growth?
B. Animal Science Focus
Select a current trend or challenge in the pork industry related to swine health, sustainability, or nutrition. How would you propose using innovative science or research to address this issue and improve the pork industry?
- Your Impact on the Pork Industry (300 words or less)
The Minnesota Pork Checkoff works to develop and expand the pork industry by promoting, researching, and educating the public about pork. What role do you hope to play in promoting, researching, or educating the public about pork in the future?
