Cost share available for “We Care” billboard program
Cost share is available to county pork associations and individual pork producers who want to invest in billboards that carry the “We Care” message.
To learn more about the “We Care” billboard program contact MPB Director of Events, Pam Voelkel, at (800) 537- 7675 or pam@mnpork.com.
Voelkel will assist by securing the billboard location, ordering the billboard, and having it posted. Billboard rental costs vary greatly based on its location, size, and length of time for display.
“We Care” is a national Pork Checkoff image enhancement program designed to educate the general public on pork producers’ commitment to:
Animal well-being
Food safety
Public health
Environmental sustainability
Community involvement
The Minnesota Pork Board (MPB) image campaign features the tagline “Our Family is Proud to Feed Yours” and incorporates photographs of three Minnesota pork producing families:
Rueben and Judy Bode, and their son Ryan of Nicollet;
Curt and Diane Johnson, and their sons Clayton, Carlton, and Donavon of Jasper;
and Dale and Lori Stevermer, and their children Brett, Adam, and Beth of Easton.
The MPB will provide a 50 percent match on each “We Care” billboard. The MPB financial contribution for “We Care” billboards will not count toward the annual cost share allocations county pork associations receive for their own local promotional and educational programs.
