What is the Pork Ambassador Program?

• The Minnesota Pork Board’s Ambassador Program promotes leadership and communication skill development, and the expansion of pork industry and agriculture exposure and knowledge through hands-on activities and social experiences.

• Youth representing a local or county pork organization may participate in state supported events, including the Minnesota Agriculture Ambassador Institute, the Minnesota State Fair Oink Booth and Minnesota Pork Congress.

• Counties may send two local ambassadors for state-hosted activities.

• County ambassadors may earn a $500 scholarship from the Minnesota Pork Board for completing a prescribed list of tasks, which are identified in the Ambassador Handboo. Additionally, all county ambassadors are encouraged to compete for the state ambassador positions.

• Successful state ambassadors receive additional scholarships: Minnesota Pork Industry Ambassador-$1,500; 1st Runner up-$750; and 2nd Runner up-$500. Additional cash awards are presented for Best Essay and Congeniality. Copy this form for additional ambassador.
